The Positive Mindset

One of the most popular or familiar concepts is “The Power of Positive Thinking”, and sometimes it can feel a little cliché. But, being an optimist can be hard for some people and sometimes you just don’t know where to start with being positive. Personally, I’m a pollyannish optimist by nature who sometimes need courage to even get through some days, so, I’m not going to make it sound like it’s always easy to maintain an attitude of positive thinking.

Below are some pointers which you may find useful;

  1. Identify : First you really need to identify why you have a negative mindset about any situation? What thoughts do you have when you identify something as bad instead of neutral or good? Do you have certain beliefs in yourself?
  2. Gratitude Journal/Cup : You should write down at least 5 things you are grateful for everyday. I personally write whole list of things that I am grateful for, keep it in a special fancy cup I own (I call it my trophy cup) and when I feel like I’m in the wrong mood, I go through the papers to remind myself of the good stuff.
  3. Meditate : This will help you with overthinking. Meditation lowers your stress and can help you to be more positive. Meditating at least 20 minutes everyday especially in the beginning of the day will not only have an effect on your mood but also your body. For me, nothing is as good as plugging my ears in the morning to my favorite persons for those morning boost, it helps to order the rest of the day, will there be hiccups, yes please, but my attitude to assess stuff will be different.
