My Glimpse Into Motherhood : Mother’s Day, 2019

Muse: MY MUM & I ❤ It’s Mother’s day and for the past one week I’ve been wrapping my head around Motherhood – partly because of my discussions with the expecting mothers around me. I wouldn’t say I have a full knowledge of what motherhood entails (I’m not even married nor ever pregnant) but, co-raising my siblings with my Mum is probably my most fulfilling role yet. Watching them on the path of becoming and blooming to be all my mum and I and the yard people (In Yoruba land, raising a child is a community project😍😂) taught them is surreal, seeing their feats gives me an overwhelming joy. Not A Facade

I have a friend who believes Happiness is a Facade and not real, I totally understand from his perspective because life can sometimes hurl at us situations that will make us doubt everything and question our beliefs. But contrary to his opinion, I believe in the bliss of the emotion called Happiness and that it’s an important part of the essence of living, sometimes it has to be a choice especially on days of incessant and sudden pour of life’s heavy rains for long periods of time and for numerous reasons we can’t even explain. Wednesday Wisdom

Muse: Yours Truly, ME Holding ourselves to high standards comes naturally to us as human, we usually just grow up to have expectations from ourselves and if we fail to meet up with them, we get frustrated. I know I have done this before, and, at the risk of appearing like a defeatist, I know I will do it at some point again (and trust me, I won’t let go without a fight but at the same time I know when to take a bow if it starts to drain me). Just maybe, the key to silencing the enemy within is accepting that it is there, we are not entirely…

    Known Avoided Facts

Muse: C.E.O. @0704_apparel Not a typical long post. . . #TGIF! But I’ll like to run through some blunt facts we avoid as humans because they don’t usually sound like what we want to hear, but, they hold the key to inner peace and happiness. ‘Feeling good about life’ is just at the other end of being convinced about these thoughts; 1. Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself, to be free. If you can’t do it for the person, do it for yourself. 2. Everything you will ever need is innate in you, you’re not missing/lacking anything. 3. The past and the future don’t exist anywhere except in your…

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY : BALANCE FOR BETTER

“Anybody who knows anything of history knows that great social changes are impossible without the feminine ferment.” – Karl Marx International Women’s Day is merrily and indulgently praised everywhere throughout the world worshiping the noteworthy commitments and accomplishments of ladies who have sparkled in their individual spaces. It isn’t important that these ladies must be the CEOs or proprietors of worldwide organizations; they can be customary ladies making close to nothing or enormous commitments in their own particular manner to the society. Throughout history, in every culture around the world, extraordinary women have pushed society to think bigger, move forward and create. Helen Keller, Aretha Franklin, Oby Ezekweli, Hillary Clinton,…
