Well, took a while for me to gather the courage and will to write but I pushed through. I wish I have something to say about pills but not today and I know you probably opened this post because you’re interested in knowing about my Anti-Baby Pills (which by the way is a phrase I find amusing when my language lecturer told us that is the German way of calling Contraceptives – Quite mean).
So, we are definitely not talking about my pills or baby plans but why I’ve been off the grid for so long, 2019 in summary and the other stuff.
2019 has been nothing short of amazing. Definitely had a lot of hiccups, practically the year I was lost the most in recent times and struggled the most but also the year I didn’t go all out consciously making plans and being purposeful about myself, yet, got major things done. I literally didn’t live by my mantra this year, I simply went with the flow – anywhere belle face (which in my opinion is bad). . . I was on the move from the very first week of the year, joined a new family, learnt new cultures, made new (awesome) friends, dealt with some major adulthood drama (still dealing), I started my podcast On Adulting, had my best birthday yet (probably my happiest day this year), thrived living in Lagos (which I will never get used to), I’ve loved and lost, cried for many wrong reasons, had health issues (that unknown to most close to me, I was going back and forth to hospitals) which I recently got comfortable enough to tell my siblings about, an healthy spiritual life. . . And I started my Masters degree which has been terrific so far as much as it was a struggle to balance work and study with adulting at first but I’m beginning to get a grip on it, a wise woman once told me “Balance is a myth“, which I also find to be true and I’ve chosen to live through each day, making the most of it.
Quite a lot has happened in 2019 but I’ve been blessed more and I’m more assured through it all that nothing can separate me from the love of God. I’m most grateful for life, the little things that count the most, the family that chose me and the family I’ve chosen (My Tribe). . .
I am so positive about 2020 because I intend to be more “INTENTIONAL” about everything. I intend to live again by my mantra,
“Life Should Be Lived Like You Mean It Without Limits”. – Oluwafunmibi
I’ve grown this year and learnt a lot on perspectives, it’s time to be Intentional. . .
Thanks to Y’all for an amazing 2019 & Have a Prosperous 2020!
